It's great to be a Florida Gator!
The University of Florida is well known for its rich tradition of excellence. For those who have lived the Gator experience, we know that becoming a Gator is far more than wearing orange and blue (although that is, of course, one part. Being a Gator means diving into a world of academic curiosity in which we find answers, ask big questions and generate new knowledge to help solve local, national, and global questions!
Being a Gator means stepping forward to lead when others chose to follow, to test the process with innovative ideas that challenge status quo and to look toward the future with ideas that can change the course of history.
More importantly Gators serve! They see themselves as responsible citizens of the world that contribute to the betterment of all, they provide solutions, answers, and responses to some of the world’s greatest challenges.
But even more recognizable is the spirit, loyalty and fervor that is seen in everything a Gator does. That little something extra… that non-tangible “it” factor that is only found in someone who was, is and always will be a part of something bigger than themselves… that amazing community, friendship and family that is our Gator Nation.
